It is membership renewal time for the National Arborists Association of Australia. Currently, our membership continues to hold over 100 members from around the country comprising of Arborists throughout all facets of the industry from private companies, local government, educational institutions and other concerned parties.

Our members continue to enjoy the benefits of Australia’s only qualification based association. The board of the National Arborists Association have found it necessary to make changes to membership requirements that will come into play for the renewal of 2009/10 memberships. (Please note that the changes do not affect this current renewal year).

Safety Alert - Earthmoving Equipment
Image Workcover has issued a safety alert outlining measures to eliminate or minimise risks relating to the operation of earth moving equipment.

This safety alert is published following the investigation of a fatality that occurred when an excavator tipped over whilst working in a creek, landing with the side door face down to the creek bed. Although the excavator was fitted with a side door and three emergency exits, the operator was not able to escape from the machine.
